Focused reading
Category Path Review
A concentrated look at one or two categories: how the face-out is ordered, how filters behave, and whether the path from grid to product still makes sense to a shopper in a hurry.
- Who it is for
- Teams who already know which category is underperforming and want a close reading rather than a full-catalog study.
- What you leave with
- A short briefing note on the chosen categories, with a recommended order of changes the merchandiser can take to the next listing refresh.
- Scope
- One or two categories, including sort defaults, filter chips, and the first three scrolls of the grid.
- Who does the work
- Tan Wei Ming, with a second reader from the Klang practice.
- Time
- Five to eight working days.
- Where
- Remote reading of the app; debrief by video or at the Klang office.
- Rates
- From RM 4,800 for one category; a second category in the same app is quoted as an add-on.
Included
- Category walkthrough on the live commerce app
- Notes on face-out order, thumbnail consistency, and stock-out tiles
- A 45-minute debrief with the category owner
Left out on purpose
- App engineering
- Paid search or social campaign review
